About

Finance With a Global Lens

I’m a senior at the University of Missouri finishing a triple degree in Finance and Banking, International Business, and Anthropology, with minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies.

What draws me to finance is how it connects the world: markets link businesses, people, and economies across borders. Five years in client-facing roles and a summer in commercial banking showed me that financial services, like every other industry, is still a people business.

Anthropology is where I learned that people side. Studying human behavior has taught me to read the human decisions behind the financial figures.

I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, sharpened by eight weeks of immersion while studying abroad in Barcelona. Learning Mandarin is my next challenge and another way to connect with the people around me. After I graduate in May 2027, I want to build my career in Chicago, a city with a deep banking presence and plenty of life outside the office.

Learning Mandarin

Spanish is my second language, and Mandarin is my third. I began learning in January of 2026, and I’ve been a member of the Chinese Language Club since April 2026.

To study, I built my own flashcard app. It has every vocabulary set I’ve worked through, with a tappable dictionary on each card that gives the pinyin, tone, meaning and example sentences for every character. I add a new deck each time I finish a set.
